Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 10 August 2026
We want Kovalo to be usable by as many people as possible, including anyone using a screen reader, a larger text size, or a keyboard rather than a touchscreen.
This statement was prepared on 10 August 2026 following our own review against WCAG 2.1 AA. It has not been independently audited.
What We Have Done
- Text scales with your device's own text size setting
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed
- Interactive elements are reachable by keyboard and have visible focus
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions
- Contrast meets the WCAG 2.1 AA standard for body text
- Where a place is known to have step-free access, we say so. Silence means we do not know, not that it is inaccessible
Where We Fall Short
We know of these, and intend to improve them:
- Some map views cannot be read by a screen reader. The same information is available as text elsewhere on the page
- A few colour combinations in secondary text do not yet meet AA contrast
- Access information is available for places to eat but not yet for most attractions
