Who You are Contracting With

These terms are between you and Growth Metrics Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16994083, trading as Kovalo. Using Kovalo means you accept them.

What Kovalo is — and What It is Not

Kovalo helps you organise a trip. It is a convenience, not an authority.

Flight status comes from a third-party data provider and may be delayed or incomplete. Your airline is the authoritative source. Do not rely on Kovalo to catch a flight.

Visa and entry requirements come from a third-party data provider and are for planning only. They are not a substitute for airline or border checks, and they may be out of date or incomplete. Always confirm with the relevant government, embassy or your airline before you book.

Emergency numbers and local information are provided in good faith and may be out of date.

AI-generated itineraries suggest places we have checked against public sources. We cannot guarantee opening times, prices or availability.

Where we suggest somewhere to eat, or you add a place yourself, that place has not been checked by us. It comes from a public map database or from you, and we label it as unchecked wherever it appears. It may have closed, moved or changed.

Prices shown for food, transport and attractions are typical estimates, refreshed periodically. They are not quotes and the price you pay may differ.

Currency rates are daily reference rates published by a central bank. They are indicative — the rate you actually receive is set by your bank or the merchant.

Translations are provided to help you communicate and may not be exact.

We are not a travel agent and we do not sell flights, accommodation or insurance. Where Kovalo links to a provider, your contract is with that provider and their terms apply.

Features That are Not Available Yet

Some of what is described here is not switched on for everyone. Where a feature is marked as coming soon in the app or on this website, it is not yet available and nothing in these terms obliges us to release it, or to release it in the form described. We will not charge for a feature before it works.

Visa and entry requirement checks are the current example. The information will come from a third-party provider, and where that provider also offers to prepare an application for you, we will show the official government fee alongside their service price so you can see exactly what the convenience costs. We earn a commission if you use them, and we will say so at the point you see the link.

Your Account

You must be 16 or over.

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

One person, one account. You may sign in on up to two devices at a time.

Do not use Kovalo unlawfully, or attempt to access anyone else's information.

The Free Tier

The free tier includes:

Removing a place, reordering a day, adding somewhere you have typed in yourself, and changing a suggested place to eat are all free and unlimited on any plan.

Boarding pass storage and live flight status are Premium features. Premium raises the trip, traveller and storage limits, includes ten AI itineraries per trip, and removes the swap and added-place limits. Individual files are limited to 10 MB, on any plan.

We will give you reasonable notice before reducing anything included in the free tier.

Sharing Trips

You may invite up to three other travellers to a trip. Anyone you invite can see and change that trip, including its route, dates and expenses. Only you, as the person who created it, can delete the trip itself. Invite only people you trust with that.

Premium

Premium costs £39.99 a year, including VAT, and renews automatically until you cancel.

A 30-day pass costs £11.99, including VAT. It is a single payment and does not renew.

You can cancel at any time. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.

If we change the price we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel before it does.

If we withdraw a Premium feature entirely, and it was a significant part of what you paid for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of your term.

Premium becomes available the moment you pay. Before you pay we ask you to confirm that you want it to start immediately, and that doing so ends your 14-day right to cancel and receive a refund. You cannot buy Premium without agreeing to this. If you buy Premium and do not use it, you keep the full 14-day right.

Links to Other Companies, and How We Make Money

Kovalo is free to use and Premium is one of the two ways we are paid. The other is commission. Throughout the app we link out to companies that sell travel services — flights, trains and ferries, accommodation, insurance, transfers, car hire, local transport, activities and excursions, and services that prepare visa and travel document applications for you. Where you buy through one of those links we may be paid a commission by that company.

It never costs you more. The price you pay is the price you would pay going to them directly, and we say plainly at each link that we earn a commission — not only here.

Whatever you buy this way, the service is provided by that company and your contract is with them, not with us. Their terms apply. Any change, cancellation, refund or complaint is theirs to handle, and we cannot amend or cancel a booking made with them. We are not a travel agent and we do not sell travel services ourselves.

Where a company charges to do something you could do yourself — most obviously applying for a visa — we show the official fee alongside their price, so you can see exactly what the convenience costs and decide whether it is worth it.

We choose who to link to on whether we think the service is any good, and if one repeatedly lets people down we stop linking to it.

Your Content

Your trips, documents and expenses remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only so far as is needed to provide Kovalo to you. We claim no other rights over them.

If Something Goes Wrong

We will do our best to keep Kovalo working, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We are not liable for a missed flight, a refused entry, a rejected visa or any other travel consequence. Those decisions rest with airlines, border authorities and governments, and you should check with them directly.

Ending It

You may stop using Kovalo and delete your account at any time. If you have a subscription, deleting your account cancels it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where we reasonably can we will tell you why first.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
